As part of our team we will also have a five-star culinary chef onsite who provides a mixture of gourmet and home-style cooking for the children each day.
The menu has been designed to provide healthy and fresh meals, will include dishes such as sushi, curries, stir fries, grilled fish with mash potatoes and roast beef with roast veggies, just to name a few!

Hi, my name is Belinda and I am the Director of Bluewater Village ELC. I have been in the industry for 15 years and have had many different experiences that have helped prepare me for this exciting adventure as Director. I am excited to help foster children’s natural learning abilities by providing opportunities for them to play and explore in their own time. I am excited to be able to support a service that has so many wonderful qualities that children family and educators are going to enjoy coming to everyday. I am also going to be a new mum myself in March 2019 and I feel this may be the best journey of all. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Hello, my name is Angie and I am the Assistant Director of Bluewater Village ELC. I have been an early childhood educator for 15 years, in various roles. I believe the early years before school are an important period for children to learn and discover how they fit in the world around them. Considering this, I am passionate about scaffolding children’s learning, as well as providing the children at our service opportunities to learn through their own play experiences. I am currently studying Bachelor of Education (early childhood teaching), which will aid me in guiding our educators in their own pedagogical practices. I am looking forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to our centre.

Hi, I am Connie and I am excited to be the kindergarten teacher for Bluewater Early learning. I am a passionate 4-year university trained teacher and hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood). My Passion lies with the kindergarten age group. I love watching them grow as unique individuals and helping them prepare for a smooth transition into school. I believe having an interactive and safe environment allows children to succeed and reach their full potential. It is an environment that supports and strengthens their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and language abilities. I look forward to meeting and working with all my future Kinder families and children.

Hi, my name is Maria and I am a mother of 3 amazing humans and blessed to be a grandmother to 5 beautiful children. I have and Associate Diploma in Child Care. I also have a current First Aid certificate and Blue Card. My passion has always been working with children which I have been doing for the last 30 years. This passion is still growing. I feel so thankful that I am able to spend time with all of these amazing children; to teach and nurture their growing minds and beautiful hearts. Being apart of their learning journey, makes my own journey truly rewarding.
Head Chef - Kitchen
After leaving school at the early age of 15 all I wanted to do was cook. After spending the next 2 years at catering college it was time to put into practice all the skills and knowledge I had gained. I left home and moved to London where I started work at the famous store Harrods. What a shock – chefs really do scream and shout, but great experience. After 2 hard years it was time to move on and I spent time working in such historic hotels as the Ritz and the Sheraton on the park.
After many years working and learning it was time to take a break and so I decided to backpack around Australia and New Zealand for a year, seeing wonderful places and meeting great people, stopping briefly to work as a pastry chef at the holiday inn cairns.
Sadly I had to return to England, but I was not sad for long as I met a fantastic lady called Caroline, who I am now proud to call my wife and best friend. Caroline and I came to Australia in 1995 and we were married at Banjo Patterson’s Cottage in 2000 and share our lives with our two children Cameron 19 and Emily 13.
I was employed as a Chef at Sydney Harbour Casino which later became Star City Casino and worked in various positions over 16 years until I was given the opportunity to join SummitCare which is a privately owned Residential Aged Care organisation with 10 facilities and HomeCare. My position at SummitCare was Manager Accommodation and Services overseeing hospitality, Cleaning, laundry & maintenance services & supporting the 10 residential aged care facilities’ with their food safety program and auditing.
Reflecting on our lives in Sydney and after 23 years we made a life changing decision to relocate to Cairns in May this year which has been an amazing experience and definitely a lifestyle change, we have settled in well and have just brought our new home in Clifton Beach.
I have been warmly welcomed at Smithfield Village by all the staff, children and their families and I look forward to a new and exciting career in Child Care at the sister centre Bluewater Village.
